Rachel Hobgood, a Freed-Hardeman University junior biology major from Dixon, Ky., has been accepted into Adventures in Veterinary Medicine 2013. AVM is a weeklong summer program run by the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
Hobgood was accepted into AVM after completing a rigorous application process. Program attendees will attend lectures by Tufts faculty and staff, shadow fourth year DVM candidates in clinics as they perform surgeries, and discuss the realities of becoming a competitive veterinary school applicant.
