Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Wayne Scott to its Board of Directors.
Wayne is the Vice President for Student Services at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., where he has been a valuable member of the staff for more than 20 years. He completed his B.A. in Bible at Freed-Hardeman University in 1987, his M.A. at Freed-Hardeman University in 1997, and his Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Azusa Pacific University in 2010.
Wayne has worked with churches in North Carolina and Alabama as youth minister and has also served as an interim minister for East Wood St. Church of Christ in Paris, Tenn. He has led mission trips to Wyoming, Brazil, Costa Rica and Oregon. He has also been involved with the Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes program for many years with his children and his congregation, including serving as the Bible Bowl and Speech coach at the Henderson Church of Christ in Henderson, Tenn.
Wayne and his lovely wife, Kim, attend Henderson Church of Christ, where Wayne is a deacon and a Bible class teacher. They have a daughter, Katy, a freshman at Freed-Hardeman University, and a son, Daniel, a freshman in high school. Kim is the principal of East Chester Elementary School.
