Field Trips

met series

Freed-Hardeman University at the Renaissance Center is bringing back the MET (Mind Enriching Theatre) series this Spring. The professional play; BLUE HORSES, will be available for school groups.

About Blue Horses

(Best suited for 3-6 grade students, however K-2 will enjoy as well.)

One summer evening, four young playmates invent a game of "Wish Upon a Star," acting out each other's dreams, wishes, struggles and hopes. Through this game and the world of imagination, each child's story helps them understand and assist one another in the trials and tribulations of growing up, gaining self confidence, trust and making friends. They discover that sometimes your vision of things around you improves when horses really can be blue.  Blue Horses has been widely and enthusiastically produced and has toured with the ArtReach Touring Theatre of Cincinnati. It has been the company's longest-running, most well-received show.

Approximate Running Time: 45 minutes.

Available 2016 Dates for Blue Horses:

April 20, 21, and 22

May 4, 5, and 6

The Renaissance Center offers a unique field trip experience that is both educational and entertaining. The field trip options include an interactive science theatre where students are guided through the wonderful world of science. Students can also attend full dome animations in the Cybersphere. Students travel deep into the sea to swim the enchanted reef, blast off on the Cardboard Rocket to explore space, or cross the Atlantic to run with African animals. The Renaissance Center Field Trips are unique, hands-on experiences offered at affordable prices.

We are now booking Field Trips. Early booking is highly recommended.
