Jeanette: 1970-1972
Joy: 2006-2009
Seasons: What are some of your favorite memories from Scott 216?
Jeanette: How new everything was! I moved in right as Scott opened, so it was one of the nicest places to be on campus.
Joy: Girls’ nights, full of pizza, cookie dough, Lifetime movies and tons of talking!
Seasons: What is different about Scott now than when your mother/daughter
was there?
Jeanette: They have a lot more electronics now than I had when I was there: microwaves, refrigerators, etc., and we had to be back in the dorms by 10:00. The rooms seemed a lot more spacious then, too, but we didn’t have as much
stuff either.
Joy: The building as a whole is just a lot older now. When Mom was there, she had a lot more rules and had room inspection every day, but we just have it once a week.
Seasons: How did you decorate your room?
Jeanette: We didn’t do a lot of decorating, actually.
Joy: We have a canvas painting on each wall and several plans and lamps. We have movie posters on the closet doors and have bright colors throughout our room and bathroom.
