The Freed-Hardeman University alumni relations, admissions and development offices have combined forces to put “FHU on the Road” in at least four locations this school year.
The first event was Sept. 20 in Florence, Ala. An old-fashioned gospel singing featuring area song leaders was conducted at Riverside Heritage Park, 15 Hightower Place. In addition to the singing and fellowship, attendees visited with FHU President Joe Wiley. Refreshments were served and drawings held for a $500 scholarship to FHU and tickets to the FHU benefit dinner Dec. 7 featuring former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice. A second similar event was held Oct. 4 in Memphis at the Bucy Center.
Spring semester “On the Road” events will be March 7 in Nashville and March 21 in Paducah, Ky.
