This was the second year for Alumni's Chili Bowl, a chili cook-off open to all faculty, staff, students and friends of FHU. The West Tennessee Children's Home team won for the second year in a row.

Students gathered in the Crews Colbert Activity Center's theaters to watch the inauguration of our 44th US president, Barack Obama.

During the January Short Course, Graphic Design Professor Algene Steele taught "Art From Nothing." Students made their own paper, paint and brushes from natural materials and processes, and finished the course by assembling their art into one-of-a-kind handmade books.
