Commencement

Student Success // June 29, 2017

At commencement ceremonies held in Loyd Auditorium Dec. 16 and May 13, new alumni received bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees. At the May graduation,  President Joe Wiley was the speaker and referred to his last time wearing the “bling” (the nickname students have given the presidential medallion). Also in May, an honorary master’s degree was awarded posthumously to Todd Walker, who was diagnosed with amyotrophic laterals sclerosis (ALS) and passed away before completing the degree. Concluding the spring ceremony, Cassie Sikes and Darren Heintzman received the Faculty Scholarship-Leadership Medal.
