Casey Gower, a 2019 graduate with multiple majors, soon scored not one, but two jobs. “Majoring in computer science, interactive digital design and photography allowed me to open my wings and express myself in so many different ways,” he said.
As a computer science major, he interned two summers with Logan Aluminum, Inc., and was offered a job with them a full year before his graduation. He accepted that one and then contracted with the Nashville Sounds, to be their head team photographer.
Gower credits his internships with preparing him and opening the doors to these opportunities. “Interning at Logan Aluminum allowed me to explore other career possibilities and opened the door for a new career in computer science,” he explained.
Gower also traveled to New York City and Costa Rica with fellow photography students.
“In the last year, I have had the opportunity to photograph numerous professional sports teams, including the Texas Rangers, New York Mets and the Nashville Predators,” he said.
“I am loving all the experiences so far, as well as the flexible schedule that they offer, allowing me to work full time and be an entrepreneur in my photography business,” Gower added.
