Senior infielder Josh Sears was named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention after a stellar season with the Lions.

Now a three-time All-American, Sears led the Lions in nearly every batting category, including batting average (.374), hits (65), RBI’s (53), total bases (137), slugging percentage (.787), walks (45), home runs (21), on-base percentage (.518) and OPS (.1.305).

In the Mid-South Conference, he ranked third in slugging percentage, second in home runs, first in on-base percentage, second in total bases and sixth in both batting average and RBIs.

Sears holds three single-season FHU home run records, each with 21 long balls, and he sits atop the career home runs list with 67. His 216 career RBIs also top the Lions’ record book alongside a .741 career slugging percentage.

Sears was named a First Team All-American in his freshman and sophomore seasons.
