Graduation

Jun 22, 2016
Students celebrate the culmination of their FHU journeys at graduation ceremonies in December and May. University trustee, preacher and author Dr. Jay Lockhart delivered the May commencement address, as he encouraged,“Wherever you go, go as a great servant.” Two students were presented 2016 Faculty Scholarship-Leadership Medals by Dr. C. J. Vires, provost and vice president for academics. Selected by a vote of the entire faculty, the medal is the highest honor bestowed by them. It has been presented annually since 1938. This year’s recipients were Jordan Newby, who received a Bachelor of Science in biology, and Austen Oakley, who was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Bible.
