"The curriculum at Freed-Hardeman for the
Computer Information Systems Major was an outstanding
foundation for my career as well as my MEA.
Within the first few months on the job after
graduation, it became apparent that the professors
in the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department
had taught me the most current topics in my
field. This along with the individualized attention
that is received at a small college put me a
step ahead of the others that I work with who
attended a larger university."

"Freed-Hardeman has given me a great start
in my career. The foundation that was created,
especially by the Department of Mathematics
and Computer Sciences, has been very beneficial
to both my department at Intergraph and me.
You probably won't find a more qualified and
dedicated mathematics and computer science department
than the one at FHU. The classes and the teachers
had a great influence on me that helped me gain
confidence in myself and my career. So many
of the things that I learned while at Freed-Hardeman
have helped me jump ahead in many of my responsibilities.
I owe a great debt to Freed-Hardeman University
for teaching me how to live and how to make
a living. Thank you Freed-Hardeman!"

"Freed-Hardeman and its faculty established
a strong foundation on which I am now building
a career. The campus atmosphere taught me how
to build relationships with my fellow employees.
No matter how much you hear about the 'rough
and tough' business world, fellow employees
are still people. The biggest part of the foundation
was built by the mathematics
and computer science department. This department
is filled with faculty members who care and
don't mind going the second mile. Also, the
curriculum is very well planned. I work for
a Fortune 500 company that
is constantly developing new products, so I
know that it would be impossible to teach everything
about computers. However, the curriculum at
FHU does establish an excellent basis to which
one can apply his or her profession. Never let
it be said that Freed-Hardeman cannot compete
with larger schools."

"To be an effective high school math teacher,
a strong foundation is needed. I believe that
I received such a foundation at Freed-Hardeman
University. The Mathematics and Computer Sciences
faculty were always willing to give extra help
to their students. Since I have lived in the
same house with two of the faculty members,
I know firsthand the love and concern they have
for their students and FHU. The faculty does
everything in their power to teach 'how to live
and how to make a living."'
