F.H. Gates
F.H. and his wife Becky have served as missionaries in Belo Horizonte, Brazil at the Central church of Christ. Along with serving as an elder at this congregation, F.H. is also involved with in-home Bible study groups, TV and radio programs, and is recently working to develop a children's home in Belo Horizonte. F.H. received his undergraduate from Freed-Hardeman and completed graduate work at Abilene Christian University. F.H. and Becky have been married for thirty-two years and have two grown children.
Matt Cook
Matt Cook is part of a church planting mission team that is currently being trained by Continent of Great Cities in Dallas, Texas. Matt and his wife Charla will be moving to Cusco, Peru immediately after the World Mission Workshop. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Freed-Hardeman University.
Loy Mitchell
Loy Mitchell, beginning in 1958, has spent a total of 28 years in Zimbabwe, Africa training the indigenous people on how to preach and teach the Word and also to help evangelize in the surrounding community. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Abilene Christian University. Loy and his wife Debra currently life and serve Christ in Dyersburg, Tennessee. They are very active in teaching Bible classes at the congregation they attend. Loy is active in gospel meetings, mission seminars, and by appointment speaks to congregations about the progress in Africa.
Jim Holway
Jim Holway and his wife Kathryn served as missionaries in Buenos Aires, Argentina for over 10 years (1983-1995). Much of their ministry since returning to the U.S. has been among Latino communities,
establishing new congregations and nurturing existing ones. He is currently the field coordinator for Latin American Mission Project - Miami (LAMP), a church planting ministry based in Miami, Florida. He
is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and Harding Graduate School of Religion. Jim and Kathryn have been married for 30 years and have 3 grown children.
Willie Franklin
Willie Franklin began his walk with God in 1973 when he left a football career with the Baltimore Colts to attend Harding University. He worked for Harding as the campus minister from 1979-81 and then moved to Texas where he taught Bible classes at Dallas Christian High School in Mesquite. In 1983 Willie and his wife Pam moved to Lae, Papua New Guinea to serve as missionaries spreading the Gospel to the people there. He has worked with congregations in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas. Willie is currently working as a campus and singles minister with the Denton, Lewisville, and Aubrey, TX churches of Christ.
