Kippy L. Myers, Ph.D.

Kippy and Debi Myers have been married for forty-one years. They have two grown daughters and a twelve-year-old grandson. Kippy is a graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching (‘78), Freed-Hardeman University (BA in Bible, ‘80), Harding Graduate School of Religion (MA in Philosophy of Religion and Christian Apologetics, ‘84), University of Dallas (MA in Philosophy, ’90), and University of Tennessee at Knoxville (Ph.D. in Philosophy, ‘00).

In addition to spending eight and a half years in full-time preaching work in Hooks and in Colleyville, Texas, Kippy taught part-time at Brown Trail School of Preaching, University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and University of North Alabama in Florence. In 1990 be began teaching full-time and worked at International Bible College (now Heritage Christian University) in Florence, Alabama, for eight years.

In August of 1998 Kippy came to Freed-Hardeman University where he currently serves as Professor of Philosophy and Bible, and Coordinator for the Arts and Humanities program. He teaches Bible classes for the Henderson Church of Christ and fills occasional preaching appointments. He has written many articles in church related journals (Gospel Advocate, Firm Foundation, Spiritual Sword, Christian Bible Teacher, THINK, Sufficient Evidence, and others), authored chapters for books, and worked with Editor Basil Overton on The World Evangelist gospel paper where he served for ten years as columnist and Associate Editor.
