Freed-Hardeman University now offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business analytics, specifically designed to prepare graduates for this rapidly growing field.
Developed jointly by the College of Business and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, the B.B.A. in business analytics requires 39 credit hours of business courses and 24 hours of business analytics and computer science courses. Students will receive a robust business foundation with a focused emphasis on the management, analysis and application of data in a business context.
Record amounts of data and improved analytics technology have made data analytics one of the fastest growing job categories in the world. Four of the 20 fastest-growing professions by 2029 are expected to be in analytics, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, leading to tremendous demand for skilled workers who can interpret and explain data.

The BBA in business analytics is targeted at undergraduate students who have an interest in business, applied mathematics, quantitative analysis, problem-solving or computer science. Students who desire to pursue a graduate degree in business analytics or in a related field, such as business administration, supply chain management, health informatics, financial analysis, economics, law or criminal justice will also find the program beneficial. Students will have an opportunity to participate in the FHU Business Analytics DataFest team, which gives experience analyzing a real-world dataset in competition against other top colleges.
