BBA--MGT, 12/1986; MEd--CURRICULUM/INSTRUCTION, 12/2003; Retired 8/31/2018 due to disability from Parkinson's Disease, Degenerative Disc Disease, Osteoarthritis in every joint and spine, Asthma, Hypothyroidism, Depression; from Tennessee Children's Home, Spring Hill, TN. A nonprofit residential treatment for teenage boys. Many boys came from juvenile justice, others from DCS. These were the guys society threw away. Many we did not get through too. Some we did. And those we did reach, those we were able to introduce to the Lord Jesus, made others parts of the job that were less pleasant worth it. Some of guys, after they got back on the street, lost their lives. That still hurts. As I leave this part of my life, I ask that you pray for Tennessee Children's Home in Spring Hill, in Pinson, and all the other campuses and works. Pray for the residents to realize staff is there to help them. Pray for staff for the strength, patience, and wisdom to do what is best for the residents. Thanks.
