In 2 Corinthians 2:11, Paul states “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” This passage among others reminds us that we have an adversary who is on a mission to destroy us spiritually (cf. 1 Pet. 5:8). Think positive! It’s essential for peace and contentment in people’s lives to control or manage their thinking. The mind is powerful; it can cause people to believe things that are false to be true and vice versa. W. I. Thomas, a famous sociologist, once said, “If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences.”

Why do you believe? The world has changed so much in the past 2 or 3 decades. There was a time when a significant percentage of Americans believed in God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Bible, heaven, hell, resurrection, angels, etc. But increasingly, more Americans are beginning to doubt their beliefs and many others don’t know what they believe.
