Rejoice in the Lord

Aug. 19, 2015

From the pen of Dr. Sam Jones

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice…

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and

supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be

made known to God” (Phil. 4:4, 6).

The above text suggests three keys to overcoming any difficult circumstance in life or remaining faithful to God in times of confusion or a serious transition. The first key is to learn to be happy in whatever situation life deals you. Key number two is to take the time often to talk with God about whatever is troubling you. The final key is wake up each day thankful. Regardless of how bad or depressing life can sometimes be, there’s so much for which to be thankful.

Make the decision to be happy; refuse to allow anything or anyone to “rain on your parade.”
