Summer Camps

Spend your summer with FHU!

This summer we invite you to experience FHU. You, your friends and your youth group can experience the Christian leadership at Horizons. Our Lion and Lady Lion Athletic Camps are designed to help you improve your athletic skills while becoming a true Champion of Character. You can also be a part of a life-changing week at FHU’s longest running camp, Mid-South Youth Camp.

Horizons July 7 - 12, 2019

Horizons is a week-long spiritual experience for Christian leaders in grades 7 - 12 held each summer on the campus of Freed-Hardeman University. In 2019, we will be celebrating our 39th year the week of July 7 - 12, 2019.

It’s been an incredible 38 years of impacting young leaders, and the focus that created the program continues to this day as we try to intentionally create an encouraging environment that will equip and challenge young church leaders. Horizons is directed by Matt Cook. Jon David Schwartz and Kaylan Stewart are the assistant co-directors. They are assisted by Chris Creecy, Jennifer Creecy, Kay Pack, Ray Pack, Billy Smith, Nicole Young, Rebecca Throneberry, Nick Jones and an awesome staff of more than 150 counselors and teachers.
