Undergraduate Research Experience

The very word "research" implies that one would search over and over again. Researchers are individuals whose quest for knowledge is fueled by a desire to search for answers to questions. At Freed-Hardeman University's research center, faculty and students are constantly searching for answers to relevant scientific questions such as "How are proteins made?" "How has the local turtle population changed over time?" "How can we create an iPad app and take it to market?" "What causes my DNA to become damaged?" "What is the role of certain bacteria in causing disease?" and many more.

Under the guidance of experienced faculty, students are directly involved in searching for answers to these questions and learning operations of a real research center right on the FHU campus.
