Honors Program

FHU's Honors Program provides the opportunity for motivated and exceptional students to tailor classes in a specialized and interactive way. While working through the Honors Program, students will develop and refine academic skills that provide competitive advantages in graduate school applications and in the job market. Outside of classes, the Honors Program provides a fun environment that still is intellectually enriching. The Honors Program hosts activities such as movie nights and volleyball nights throughout the year, and each semester students in the Honors Program take cultural trips to locations around the country recently to Chicago, Phoenix, St. Louis, Boston, and Savannah, which provide rich cultural and educational experiences.

Admission to the Honors Program involves a set of established criteria, but motivated students will not be ignored. Applicants to Freed-Hardeman University with outstanding academic records are invited to apply for admission to honors course work.
