Doors will open in Loyd Auditorium at 9 a.m

Guests are welcome to wear masks/face coverings, but are not required to do so.

 

 

Ticket information:

What seating will be available for guests?

  •  The ceremony will be general seating. Each graduate will receive tickets. The main floor and balcony of Loyd Auditorium will be available for guests of graduates. Tickets are not required for the graduate nor children who are under the age of two who will sit in the lap of an adult. An early arrival is recommended for groups who wish to sit together.  A small number of seats for those with limited mobility will be available. It is suggested guests desiring these seats arrive early.

 

WHERE DO GRADUATES PICKUP TICKETS?

  • Residential student graduates may pick up eight tickets from 9:00am until Noon.  See Mrs. Carrie Stapleton in The Office of Academics located inside Loyd Auditorium for your tickets. 

  • Non-residential students may pick up tickets as listed above or may request delivery  to the Memphis or Dickson campus locations.  Please email the Registrar to make arrangements (email: skimpel@fhu.edu).

  • Unclaimed tickets will be available at the Hope Barber Shull Academic Resource Center (library) prior to the graduation ceremony.

 

Regalia Information:

WHERE WILL GRADUATES PICK UP REGALIA?

  • Graduation regalia may be picked up at the University Bookstore located on the Henderson campus. Regalia will not be shipped to individual students. If not using early pickup of regalia, please arrive a few minutes early.

  •  Non-residential students may pick up regalia as listed above or may request delivery to the Memphis or Dickson campus locations. Please email the Registrar to make arrangements (email: skimpel@fhu.edu).

  • Unclaimed regalia will be available at the Hope Barber Shull Academic Resource Center (library) prior to the graduation ceremony. Please arrive a few minutes early.

 

CEREMONY INSTRUCTIONS:

WHAT TIME IS REHEARSAL?

  • There will be NO graduation rehearsal. 

  • Graduates will line up in the Hope Barber Shull Academic Resource Center (library).  See time information below.

Graduates line up in regalia at the Hope Barber Shull Academic Resource Center (library). You will be provided a card with your name already printed on it. You are encouraged to add a phonetic spelling on the card if you are concerned about your name being pronounced correctly. Marshalls will help to verify regalia is accurate. Graduates may not decorate the top of their mortar boards (caps) to preserve the formality of the ceremony.

Lion Walk. Students will process from the Academic Resource Center through Bucy Tower and on to Loyd Auditorium.

Processional. Graduates who arrive late will not be seated with the other graduates but will be allowed to walk across stage at the appropriate time.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE CEREMONY?

  • Reception in Your Honor - All graduates and guests are invited to a reception immediately following the graduation ceremony. The reception is hosted by the Freed-Hardeman Alumni Association and is held in the Brewer Sports Center.

  • Return Stoles and Cords - Graduates who have not purchased gold honor chords, stoles or medallions must return the items after the ceremony. A table will be located inside the Brewer Sports Center for you to return regalia. *please see your student email for exact details concerning cost.

    • To purchase evening of graduation, please bring check/cash.
