American Values Forum

FHU/Dickson looks forward to welcoming the Honorable Alberto R. Gonzales at The Renaissance Center, Thursday, March 1.

Appointed by President George W. Bush as 80th Attorney General of the United States, Gonzales also served as general counsel to Bush when he was governor of Texas and as a justice of the Texas Supreme Court. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he attended the Air Force Academy, graduated from Rice University and received his law degree from Harvard Law School. Currently he is the dean and Doyle Rogers Distinguished Professor of the College of Law at Belmont University.

The American Values Forum begins at 6:30pm in the Renaissance Center Performance Hall with entertainment provided by Erabellas. The presentation by Gonzales will be done in an interview format with FHU President David Shannon and Dr. Bob Spencer, director of the nursing program at FHU/Dickson, asking the questions.

Money raised by this program goes towards helping provide scholarships for the students attending Freed-Hardeman University's Dickson campus. FHU/Dickson is the only baccalaureate educational institution in Dickson County. It provides junior and senior level classes for transfer students and graduate degrees for those who have already completed baccalaureate degrees.

Sponsorships as well as general admission tickets to the event are available. Sponsorships include dinner, speech and a photo with Gonzales. General admission tickets for the speech are four for $100.

Those interested in sponsorships or tickets may contact Red McCaskill, executive director of The Renaissance Center, at 615-440- 8202.
