From application deadlines to course registration, this comprehensive list ensures you stay organized while juggling high school and college. At FHU, your academic journey is our priority, and this page is your tool to navigate each semester’s important milestones.

Fall 2023
  • August 23 – Classes begin.
  • August 30 – The Drop/Add period to change Sixteen-Week Course schedule ends at 3:00pm. If you drop a class by this deadline, you are not academically or financially penalized. No tuition will be charged, and no grades are given. If you add a class, you may have some added financial responsibility.
  • September 15 – Tennessee Dual Enrollment Application/Renewal Deadline (TN residents only)
  • October 9-13 – Mid-Term Week
  • October 27 – The last day to withdraw without affecting your GPA ends at 3:00pm. You will receive a W grade which does not carry any quality points, so it will not adversely affect your GPA. However, you are still financially responsible for the courses. If you are using the TN DE Grant, your overall GPA must remain at a 2.0 or higher to continue using the grant program. If you withdraw after the October 27 deadline, you will withdraw failing which will be calculated into your GPA.
  • November 19-26 – Thanksgiving Break
  • December 11-14 – Final Exam Week
Spring 2024
  • January 17 – Classes begin.
  • January 24 – The Drop/Add period to change Sixteen-Week Course schedule ends at 3:00pm. If you drop a class by this deadline, you are not academically or financially penalized. No tuition will be charged, and no grades are given. If you add a class, you may have some added financial responsibility.
  • February 1 – Tennessee Dual Enrollment Application/Renewal Deadline is for TN residents only. If you applied in the fall, you do not have to reapply in the spring.
  • March 4-8 – Mid-Term Week
  • March 21 – The last day to withdraw without affecting your GPA ends at 3:00pm. You will receive a W grade which does not carry any quality points, so it will not adversely affect your GPA. However, you are still financially responsible for the courses. If you are using the TN DE Grant, your overall GPA must remain at a 2.0 or higher to continue using the grant program. If you withdraw after the March 21 deadline, you will withdraw failing which will be calculated into your GPA.

  • May 6-10 – Final Exam Week
  • May 11 – Graduation
