Canvas Studio is a communication tool that allows instructors and students to stay actively engage through video and audio media. Studio's interface lets students and instructors communicate with one another through direct commenting on the media timeline. Instructors also have the ability to view media engagement through user analytics to quickly and easily analyze the media students are viewing, how long they are viewing, and when they stop viewing. This information allows instructors to optimize media to communicate critical information more effectively and monitor student behavior. An additional feature of Studio is video quizzing. Video quizzes offer instructors the ability to add questions at specific points within a video to ensure the student is focusing on targeted information. Central topics of this session include how to 1.) record videos directly within Studio 2.) upload prerecorded videos, 3) link to Youtube videos 4.) view video analytics, and 5.) how to turn a video into an interactive quiz for graded or nongraded purposes.
