About James Dalton

Dr. James H. Dalton is the Director of the M.S. in Counseling Programs and Graduate Certificates in Counseling at Freed-Hardeman University (FHU). He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Dr. Dalton is a father of four, professional counselor, a consultant to mental health companies, and a student of God's word.

Dr. Dalton has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Services Provider in the state of Tennessee (LPC/MHSP), a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas (LPC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Dr. Dalton is also a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee with a M.S. in Counseling and a B.A. in Bible.

Dr. Dalton is married to Stacey, who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Tennessee and Arkansas. They are both natives of Tennessee, and currently reside in Henderson. They have a son and three daughters. Dr. Dalton's hobbies and interests include spending time with his children, hiking, and watching baseball.
