FHU Complete is the name of the new pricing structure unveiled recently to the faculty, staff, students and parents of FHU. FHU Complete includes the elimination of all fees and asterisks and allows students to take as many hours as allowed within academic policy for one block price. There are also many other new features of campus life included in the block price.

What is included in the comprehensive charge?

The comprehensive charge is a single charge billed for full-time students enrolled in any number of credit hours. The comprehensive charge will allow students to enroll in 12 or more hours, within academic policy, for a single cost. There will be no additional fees added to the student bill.

What determines if a student is billed the comprehensive charge?

A student enrolling in 12 or more hours in a fall or spring semester will be billed the comprehensive charge.

Does the comprehensive charge limit the number of hours in which a student can enroll?

No. Students may enroll in 12 or more hours for a single cost as allowed within academic policy.

What are the hour limitations within academic policy for the fall and spring semesters?

  • A student with a 3.00 or above cumulative grade point average (GPA) may register for 19 hours without approval.
  • A student with a 3.00 or above cumulative GPA may register for 20 or more hours with approval of a petition by the dean of the school in which the student’s major is based and the associate vice president for academics.
  • Except by approval of the dean of the school in which the student’s major is based, a student with less than a 3.00 cumulative GPA may not register for more than 17 credit hours.
  • A student on academic probation or admitted on restriction may not register for more than 15 credit hours without approval of the dean of the school in which the student?s major is based and the director of the academic success center.

Are hours taken in the two-week sessions offered in December, May, January or August included in the hours limitation for the fall and spring semester?

No. Hours taken during the two-week sessions offered in December, May, January or August will not count toward the maximum hours allowed by academic policy.

How can junior or senior students maximize the FHU Complete pricing if they only lack a minimal number of hours to complete their degrees?

  • Graduate early!
  • Take additional undergraduate courses that will complement their degree, complete an additional minor, or complete a second degree.

PART-TIME STUDENTS

What are the costs for part-time students during the fall and spring semesters?

Part-time students (taking less than 12 hours) will be charged $815 per credit hour.

SUMMER AND TWO-WEEK (SHORT) COURSES

What are the costs for summer courses and two-week (short) courses?

Students enrolling in summer courses and two-week (short) courses will be charged $645 per credit hour.

Are two-week (short) courses taken in December, May, August or January included in the comprehensive charge for the fall or spring semesters?

No. Two-week (short) courses taken in December, May, August or January are not included in the comprehensive charge for the fall or spring semesters. Instead, students enrolling in two-week (short) courses in December, May, August or January will be charged $645 per credit hour.

Do courses taken during two-week session offered in December, May, January and August count toward full-time status?

Yes. For financial aid and institutional purposes, courses taken in the two-week sessions offered in December, May, January and August count toward full-time status in the semester immediately following the two-week session.

Do Bible classes taken during the two-week sessions offered in December, May, January and August count toward meeting the Bible requirement for the regular semester?

Yes. A Bible course taken during the December, May, January and August two-week session will meet the Bible class requirement for the semester immediately following the two-week session.

Will scholarships and discounts continue to be in place with FHU Complete?

Yes. Students who continue to meet scholarship and discount requirements will receive those scholarships and discounts under FHU Complete.

BELGIUM PROGRAM

What will students who participate in the Belgium program be charged?

Belgium students will be charged a comprehensive amount of $8,325 for tuition. In addition, students will be charged travel costs. Travel costs are set each semester by the director of international studies.
