Assistant Women's Soccer Coach/Women's Soccer JV Coach

Position Summary:

Assist Head Soccer Coach with all aspects of program, including recruiting, scouting, coaching and counseling, by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Carry out all assigned coaching duties, if applicable, in order to maintain a competitive sports program that operates within the guidelines and expectations of Freed-Hardeman University and the Department of Athletics
  2. Oversee all aspects of junior varsity (JV) program which include:
    1. Meeting recruiting expectations
    2. Maintain a minimum JV roster of 18 student-athletes
    3. Scheduling of games/matches
    4. Making travel arrangements for JV team
    5. Planning and execution of all JV training/practice sessions
    6. Supervising all JV activities
    7. Staying within budgetary expectations for JV program
    8. Overseeing eligibility and academic progress of JV student-athletes
  3. Assist head coach in all aspects of varsity program

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; collegiate soccer playing, or coaching, experience required; willingness to travel; highly motivated; excellent people and communication skills necessary; excellent organizational skills required, committed to Christian education and Freed-Hardeman University.

Commensurate with training, education and experience
