Financial Aid Counselor

Department: Student Financial Services                        

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt                               

Reports To: Director of Financial Services

Effective Date:

May 1, 2019. A six-month probationary period is in effect for all non-exempt employees.

 

Position Summary:

Assists both prospective and current students and their families with multiple aspects of the financial aid process as outlined below.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Counsel parents, current students, and prospective students about financial aid.
  2. Assist with daily functions of the office.
  3. Perform the Verification process of financial aid.
  4. Create, print, and mail Academic Scholarship awards to incoming freshman/new students.
  5. Process applications for Hendersonview and Eastgate apartments.
  6. Conduct high school workshops/Financial Aid Nights
  7. Address parents at Financial Aid Sessions of Maroon and Gold Days
  8. Download, sort and upload daily ISIR files
  9. Manage website content
  10. Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training

 

Salary:

Commensurate with training, education, and experience
