Position Summary:
Assists patrons on weekends in the use of library services and assists librarians by performing the duties described below. This is a Fall & Spring semester position only (i.e., does not include Summer session). Approximately 15 hours per week during Fall & Spring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Staff the circulation & reference areas of the library.

Perform assigned tasks while maintaining the circulation desk.

Supervise the student workers on duty.

Make ad hoc decisions regarding library procedures and operations when a librarian is not on duty.

Responsible for maintaining a library atmosphere.

Close and secure the library on weekends.

Assist with cataloging duties and other special projects.

Maintain and troubleshoot the printers and computers in the library.

Be responsible for students and the building in case of emergency.
Requirements:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
