ACBSP Reaffirms Accreditation of Business Programs at Freed-Hardeman University

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners has reaffirmed accreditation of the business programs at Freed-Hardeman University, in Henderson, Tenn.

Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the College of Business at Freed-Hardeman University meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP. 

The business programs at Freed-Hardeman were first accredited by ACBSP in 1994. This marks the second time the University has been through the reaffirmation process, required every 10 years to maintain ACBSP accreditation. “Freed-Hardeman University has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Reaffirmation of Accreditation at ACBSP Conference 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, June 14.

“This accreditation is evidence that Freed-Hardeman is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done since 1994,” said Parscale. 

“Reaffirmation of accreditation is yet another important step as we continue toward our vision of becoming the undeniable first choice for students desiring a business education where integrity is emphasized, business principles are applied, and skills are developed to ensure career and higher educational goals are met,” said Mark Steiner, dean of the College of Business.

Dr. C. J. Vires, vice president for academics and enrollment management, added: “We are very pleased to learn that ACBSP has extended reaffirmation to FHU’s business programs. We celebrate with the faculty and staff within the College of Business whose dedicated efforts and quality teaching ensured this accomplishment.”
