In discussing his new role, Ramey said, “I have treasured my relationships with members of the FHU family since I began working in the alumni office more than 20 years ago. I love our school and the legacy of excellence and lasting friendships that exist among her former students. Many great things are happening at Freed-Hardeman, and it’s an exciting time to serve alumni and friends again!”
Shannon, who has completed his first year as president of FHU, said, “Chris has a heart for Freed-Hardeman and members of the FHU family. Having that love for our school, combined with his advancement expertise, makes him a great addition to our strong community engagement team.”
Vice President for Community Engagement Dave Clouse added, “Chris has
established himself as a servant leader in the region through his employment and volunteer work for several mission-driven organizations. We look forward to the ways he’ll help us serve FHU and those who make up our FHU family.”
Ramey, who holds a bachelor’s degree from FHU, has worked in advancement
leadership roles for the Exchange Club/Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation and, most recently, as Jackson Christian School Director of Advancement.
