FHU Chorale Announces Spring Tour Performances

Henderson, Tennessee - Mar 23, 2018

The 2018 spring tour, March 25-29, of Freed-Hardeman University Chorale will take the singers to five Alabama cities and one in Florida. They will sing at churches in Mobile, Summerdale, Birmingham, Gadsden, and Huntsville, all in Alabama, and in Marianna, Florida.

Directed by Dr. Gary McKnight, Chorale specializes in unaccompanied sacred selections, but is not limited to that repertoire. The mixed ensemble is comprised of musicians from a variety of majors. Membership is by audition only and new members are added at the beginning of each fall semester.

The performance schedule includes Creekwood Church of Christ, Mobile, Sunday, March 25, 1 p.m.; Summerdale Church of Christ, Sunday, March 25, approximately 6:30 p.m.; Caverns Road Church of Christ, Marianna, March 26, 7 p.m.; Riverchase Church of Christ in Birmingham, March 27, 7 p.m.; Gadsden Church of Christ, March 28, 7 p.m.; and Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville, March 29, at 7 p.m.

The public is invited to attend any of these performances. No admission fee will be charged.

Chorale, organized in 2004, maintains an active concert and touring schedule. Individuals seeking additional information or who would like to schedule a performance, may contact McKnight at gmcknight@fhu.edu or 731-989-6952.
