FHU Professors Present Session at Counselors’ Conference

Two Freed-Hardeman University professors spoke at the American Association of Christian Counselors’ World Conference in Nashville Oct. 9-12. Dr. Mike Cravens and Dr. James Dalton led a session entitled “Complying with Ethical and Legal Standards in Mental Health Documentation.”

Cravens directs FHU’s Doctor of Behavioral Health program and Dalton directs the Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling program.

In addition, Dalton and Jared Higginbotham, FHU graduate student in clinical mental health counseling, presented a poster on the topic, "God-Authored Marital Qualities from Research to Practice."

Established in 1986, AACC is the “world’s premier Christian counseling organization,”  according to its website. Approximately 7,000 persons attended the conference at the Opryland Hotel. More than 200 workshops were conducted during the conference.
