FHU Ranks Among Best Colleges for the Money

Henderson, Tennessee - Jan 30, 2019

Freed-Hardeman University has been ranked as one of the best colleges for the money in the United States by College Factual. FHU is in the top 10 percent nationally for all colleges reviewed for value. In addition, Freed-Hardeman ranked 10th out of 40 colleges in Tennessee.

College Factual’s Best for the Money ranking considers average yearly cost and average time students take to graduate.

FHU offers generous financial aid packages including federal grants and loans, Tennessee Student Assistance grants and institutional scholarships. Almost all FHU students receive some form of financial aid.

“We are pleased FHU has received this recognition,” FHU President David Shannon said. “It supports our contention that Freed-Hardeman is a great choice for students who want a quality education in a Christian environment at an affordable price.”

Freed-Hardeman provides an exceptional education from a distinctly Christian perspective to more than 2,000 students at three Tennessee locations: Henderson, Memphis and Dickson. The university offers 100 major plans of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to five baccalaureate degrees, FHU offers master’s degrees in education, business, theology and mental health counseling. Doctoral degrees are available in behavioral health and in education. Many of the graduate programs are accessible online.
