FHU Seeks CFO/Vice President of Financial Services

Freed-Hardeman University has launched the search for a new chief financial officer/vice president of financial services, FHU President David Shannon announced.

“We are seeking a person who has already been proven to be a trusted leader capable of making the financial position of the university even stronger,” Shannon said. “It is imperative that this person be a trustworthy team player capable of making decisions for the good of the whole university.”

The chief financial officer/vice president for financial services is responsible for the administration of all financial operations of the university. The CFO will oversee and enhance the financial operations of the university, which includes financial strategy, capital plans, debt management and cash management. The CFO will be a key advisor to the president, the cabinet and department heads on financial and non-financial strategic issues.

Preferred applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business with 10 years experience in a senior role, CPA designation, Master of Business Administration degree, strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate well with various constituencies. The CFO must also be known as a faithful Christian.
