Freed-Hardeman University Ranked Among Top Transfer Friendly Colleges

Henderson, TN - May 07, 2020

Phi Theta Kappa’s 2020 Transfer Honor Roll has named Freed-Hardeman University among the top transfer friendly colleges.

The honor roll recognizes excellence in the development of transfer pathways and is awarded to the top 25 percent of colleges to earn the highest rating by completing a transfer profile. FHU is among 123 colleges included on the list.

“The Transfer Honor Roll reflects the growing importance of recognizing and responding to the needs of transfer students,” Phi Theta Kappa President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladnersaid. “This award is given to four-year colleges and universities with proven outcomes for transfer success. They are the best at providing a supportive and smooth transition from community college — equating to increased rates of bachelor’s degree attainment for transfer students.”

Phi Theta Kappa is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges and helping them to grow as scholars and leaders. The society is made up of more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 11 nations, with approximately 240,000 active members in the nation’s colleges.

The mission of Freed-Hardeman University is to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory by empowering them with an education that integrates Christian faith, scholarship and service. With locations in Henderson, Memphis and Dickson, FHU offers bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s and doctoral degrees.
