Thousands of visitors coming to Freed-Hardeman University for the 83rd Annual Bible Lectureship will have an additional way to access information on sessions and speakers. The FHU Events app, developed by a team of FHU computer science majors, will be launched just in time for Lectureship guests to be its first users.

Freed-Hardeman University’s College of Business has announced an international study abroad opportunity in South Korea for this summer, Aug. 2-17, 2019. Students will engage with leaders of Korea-based companies, study international business ethics and explore Korean culture while earning three hours of academic credit, according to Dr. Matt Vega, associate professor of business law and ethics.

Freed-Hardeman University has been ranked as one of the best colleges for the money in the United States by College Factual. FHU is in the top 10 percent nationally for all colleges reviewed for value. In addition, Freed-Hardeman ranked 10th out of 40 colleges in Tennessee.

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam will be the featured speaker Feb. 28, 2019, at FHU/Dickson’s American Values Forum Scholarship Dinner. The annual event raises funds for scholarships for students finishing their baccalaureate degrees at FHU/Dickson.

Freed-Hardeman University’s 83rd Annual Bible Lectureship, slated for Feb. 3-7, 2019, will take a detailed look at the Old Testament book of Exodus. Lessons throughout the week will focus on the theme, “Out of Egypt: Liberation and Covenant in Exodus.”

Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton inspired the audience gathered Friday evening, Dec. 7, 2018, for Freed-Hardeman University’s annual benefit dinner. His life story, told in engaging fashion, caused many to describe his speech as “the best ever.”

Seniors Presley Fulton and Caleb Boggs were crowned Freed-Hardeman University’s Homecoming Queen and King Saturday, Nov. 10, at halftime of the Lady Lion basketball game. Fulton is a child and family studies major from Nashville and Boggs, from Neosho, Missouri, is majoring in Bible and child and family studies.
