  • Freed-Hardeman University Honors Mr. and Miss FHU

    Freed-Hardeman University has named two students as the ideal representations of FHU students. Mr. and Miss FHU for 2017 are Bradford Durham from Roanoke, Virginia, and Jaime Leonard, from Neosho, Missouri. The winners were honored Monday, March 13, during the chapel period.

  • FHU Head Coach Jim Sanderson Gets 500th Career Win

    Talk about a way to end the regular season. Freed-Hardeman Head Men's Basketball Coach Jim Sanderson won his 500th career game Saturday as the Lions defeated Missouri Baptist University 87-68 at the Brewer Sports Center.

  • UT Basketball Coach to Speak at FHU Dinner

    Rick Barnes, head coach of the University of Tennessee men’s basketball team, will speak at Freed-Hardeman University Thursday, April 27. FHU’s Sports Advisory Council will host the dinner and speech to raise funds for the university’s intercollegiate athletic programs.

  • FHU's Clayton Investment Fund Beats the Pros

    The Clayton Investment Fund at Freed-Hardeman University had an outstanding 2016. The Fund, led by timely investments in infrastructure and financials, outperformed the S&P 500 and Russell 1000. The fund, whose balance currently stands at $1,154,149, grew 23.46 percent on the year while the S&P 500 gained just under 12 percent and Russell 1000 Value returned almost 17 percent over the same period.

  • FHU Graduate School of Theology Receives Specialized Accreditation

    The Board of Commissioners of the Association of Theological Schools has granted accreditation to the Freed-Hardeman University Graduate School of Theology for an initial period of five years; at that time, the school will complete its next self-study in pursuit of reaffirmation.

  • Chester County High School, FHU to Expand Dual Enrollment Program

    Chester County High School and Freed-Hardeman University are excited to announce an expanded, and highly unusual, dual enrollment program. Dubbed the Griffin Program, the program allows students to get a head start on their university careers by earning 35 or more credit hours from FHU while also earning high school credit. Qualified Chester County High School juniors and seniors will be able to participate in the program beginning with the Fall 2017 semester.

  • FHU Theatre Prepares for Spring Performance of “Eleemosynary”

  • Music Professor to Participate in The Julliard School’s pianoSonoma Music Festival

    Freed-Hardeman University professor Richard England will work with an artist in residence for the pianoSonoma Music Festival in collaboration with The Julliard School Evening Division in New York City. The intensive workshop is scheduled for June 5-8, 2017.
