  • FHU Associates to Host 15th Annual Victorian Tea Party

    Ladies of all ages are invited to the historic Hardeman House, Saturday, May 6, from noon to 4 p.m., for the 15th annual Victorian tea party hosted by the Freed-Hardeman University Associates. The well-known venue on White Avenue in Henderson was the home of N. B. Hardeman, long-time president of FHU.

  • FHU Student Wins Scholarship through CTIA Wireless Foundation Competition

    Audrey Moore, a Freed-Hardeman student, received a $5,000 scholarship from the CTIA Wireless Foundation due to her work creating an original video. After entering her video into the foundation’s third annual national Drive Smart Digital Short Contest, Moore received runner-up, earning her the scholarship.

  • Freed-Hardeman University Names Shannon Next President

    The Freed-Hardeman University Board of Trustees selected David Shannon of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, as the 16th president of FHU at their meeting Friday, April 21. He will assume the office this summer, succeeding President Joe Wiley, who announced his impending retirement last fall after nine years at the university’s helm.

  • “Blithe Spirit” Set to Hit FHU Stage

    Freed-Hardeman University Theatre prepares for its next stellar show with a performance of "Blithe Spirit," a supernatural comedy of manners. The play will be April 20 - 22 and 27 - 29 in the backstage of Loyd Auditorium.

  • Mid-South Youth Camp to Host Fishing Rodeo in May

    Mid-South Youth Camp will host a youth fishing rodeo Saturday, May 6, 2017. Registration for the rodeo will be at Mid-South from 8-8:45am with fishing beginning at 9:00am and finishing at 1:00pm. The $15 entry fee per child is payable at registration.

  • FHU Bible Professor to Speak at Warren Center for Apologetics

    Dr. Doug Burleson, associate professor of Bible at Freed-Hardeman University, will be the featured speaker at the 7th Annual Spring Apologetics Lecture at the Warren Christian Apologetics Center May 11. The theme is “Once Delivered, Forever Established: The Certainty of the Holy Scriptures” for the event in The Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center in Vienna, West Virginia.

  • Freed-Hardeman University Honors Mr. and Miss FHU

    Freed-Hardeman University has named two students as the ideal representations of FHU students. Mr. and Miss FHU for 2017 are Bradford Durham from Roanoke, Virginia, and Jaime Leonard, from Neosho, Missouri. The winners were honored Monday, March 13, during the chapel period.
