  • Annual Bible Lectureship at FHU Set for Feb. 2-6

    The 84th Annual Bible Lectureship, Feb. 2-6, 2020, at Freed-Hardeman University will focus on finding “Our Place in His Story: Remembering the Past, Anticipating the Future.” In conjunction with FHU’s year-long celebration of its 150th anniversary, the Lectureship will include special features that help tell the university’s story, in addition to the traditional sessions that have highlighted previous lectureships.

  • FHU’s Winter Commencement Set for Dec. 13

    More than 120 Freed-Hardeman University students will participate in winter commencement exercises Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at 6:00pm in Loyd Auditorium. The total includes 58 who will receive baccalaureate degrees and 71 who will receive graduate degrees.

  • FHU’s Annual Benefit Dinner Expected to Break Record

    Freed-Hardeman University’s annual benefit dinner Friday night, Dec. 6. 2019, is on track to break another fund-raising record, according to Dave Clouse, vice president for community engagement. Tickets sold and funds raised have already exceeded those of last year, he said. Proceeds from the dinner help to fund scholarships at FHU.

  • FHU Student Artists’ Work Selected for Bellwethers Exhibition

    Three Freed-Hardeman University students participated in the Bellwethers 2019 Juried Collegiate Student Art Competition hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin. The show was comprised of 40 pieces selected from more than 100 submissions.

  • FHU’s Old Main Re-Opens

    A standing room only crowd gathered in Freed-Hardeman University’s Chapel Hall, Thursday, Nov. 8, for the re-opening and dedication of Old Main, constructed in 1908 by A.G. Freed and N.B. Hardeman.

  • Wall Street Journal Survey Shows FHU Students Pleased with College Choice

    Freed-Hardeman University students are better satisfied with their college choice than the national average, according to a survey taken by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education. FHU students are also more likely to recommend FHU to a friend or family member than students at other universities are to recommend their choices.

  • FHU Crowns Homecoming King and Queen

    Nov 12, 2019

    Freed-Hardeman University seniors Emma Butt and Marshall Dearing were named Homecoming Queen and King Saturday, Nov. 9, at a ceremony conducted during halftime of the women’s basketball game. The entire court, selected by the students, had been presented to the student body earlier in the week.

  • FHU’s Future Marketers Plan 2019 Special Needs Pageant

    Freed-Hardeman University’s Society of Future Marketers will present the Eighth Annual Daughters of Job Pageant Nov. 16. The event will be in FHU’s Ayers Auditorium in the Brown-Kopel Business Center from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
