  • FHU Announces Plans for Annual Tolling of the Bell Ceremony

    A student new to the Freed-Hardeman campus will join two of the most familiar faces in FHU history, Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Loyd Auditorium for the annual Tolling of the Bell. The ceremony signals the start of each academic year, reuniting students, faculty and the Freed-Hardeman family with those new to the school and those who shaped the private Christian university’s storied past.

  • FHU Offers Free Seminar for Mental Health Professionals

    Mental health professionals are invited to a free seminar Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30am till noon at Freed-Hardeman University. “Ethical Practice in a Digital Age” will be presented by Dr. James H. Dalton and Mrs. Lisa Beene, members of the FHU faculty.

  • FHU Graduate School of Theology Plans to Offer Additional Master’s Degrees

    The Graduate School of Theology at Freed-Hardeman University plans to offer two additional master’s degrees in Bible this fall. The Master of Arts in Old Testament program will be directed by Dr. Justin Rogers and the Master of Arts in pastoral care and counseling will by directed by Dr. Ryan Fraser.

  • FHU Hosts Golden Year Reunion, June 15 – 17, 2016

    Freed-Hardeman University recognized the anniversary classes of 1966, 1961, 1956, 1951, 1946 and 1941 June 15-17 on its campus. The Freed-Hardeman Golden Year Reunion is for anyone who attended or graduated from Freed-Hardeman at least fifty years ago (1966 or before).

  • MSYC to Host Annual Fish Fry

  • Amber Buckley Lyons Memorialized with Bell Tower at MSYC

    Former Mid-South Youth Camp camper and counselor Amber Buckley Lyons was honored Sunday, June 5, at MSYC when a bell tower built in her memory was dedicated. Her father, Dale Buckley, and her husband, Bill Lyons, funded the construction of the stone tower built to house the bell that calls campers to meals, chapel, devotionals and classes.

  • FHU to Offer Master's Degree in Instructional Technology

  • Mid-South Youth Camp Opening, Bell Tower Dedication Set for June 5

    Mid-South Youth Camp will begin the 2016 camping season Sunday, June 5, with a special opening. The afternoon will include the dedication of the Amber Buckley Lyons Memorial Bell Tower at 6:00pm and a worship service with Bryan Britt speaking at 6:30pm

    A Freed-Hardeman University music professor is a quarterfinalist for the 2017 Music Educator Award. Dr. Richard England is one of 290 music educators named by The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation.
