  • Preacher Training School in India Names Evangelism Center in Honor of Dr. E. Claude Gardner

    A preacher training school in Kakinada, India, has honored Dr. E. Claude Gardner, former president of Freed-Hardeman University, by naming a newly constructed facility the Gardner and Hyche Evangelism Center. The grand opening of the center, which will seat more than 1,000 persons, was March 29, 2016.

  • FHU / Dickson to Offer Post-Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate

    Freed-Hardeman University / Dickson will offer a Post-Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate (PBAC) for individuals who have earned a four-year degree in a business discipline other than accounting and are seeking functional competency in the accounting field. In combination with the previously earned baccalaureate degree in business, this program meets the academic eligibility criteria for admission to take the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination in Tennessee.

  • Football Great Peyton Manning to Speak at FHU Benefit Dinner

    Football legend Peyton Manning will speak at the Freed-Hardeman University Benefit Dinner Friday night, Dec. 2, 2016, according to FHU President Joe Wiley. The annual event typically raises more than $1 million for student scholarships at FHU.

  • Mid-South Youth Camp to Host Fishing Rodeo May 7

    Apr 18, 2016

    Mid-South Youth Camp will host its 20th annual youth fishing rodeo May 7, 2016. Registration for the rodeo will be at Mid-South from 8:00 - 8:45am with fishing beginning at 9:00am and finishing at 1:00pm. The $15 entry fee per child is payable at registration, and this will be a no size or species limit rodeo.
