  • Wall Street Journal Survey Shows FHU Students Pleased with College Choice

    Freed-Hardeman University students are better satisfied with their college choice than the national average, according to a survey taken by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education. FHU students are also more likely to recommend FHU to a friend or family member than students at other universities are to recommend their choices.

  • FHU Crowns Homecoming King and Queen

    Freed-Hardeman University seniors Emma Butt and Marshall Dearing were named Homecoming Queen and King Saturday, Nov. 9, at a ceremony conducted during halftime of the women’s basketball game. The entire court, selected by the students, had been presented to the student body earlier in the week.

  • FHU Students Elect Homecoming Royalty

    Freed-Hardeman University students have chosen their representatives on the 2019 Homecoming court. The court will be presented Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the 10:30am chapel service in Loyd Auditorium. The queen and king will be announced Saturday, Nov. 9, at halftime of the Lady Lion basketball game.

  • FHU’s Pied Pipers Plan Homecoming Reunion, Revival of Group

    Freed-Hardeman University’s Pied Pipers, Company II will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the troupe at FHU with a reunion of former Pipers Saturday, Nov. 9, during Homecoming festivities. In addition, this date will mark a revival of the Pied Pipers at FHU.

    Lauren Fitzgerald, managing partner of The Mom Complex, will begin Freed-Hardeman University’s annual ALUMination Day, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at FHU’s 10:30am chapel session in Loyd Auditorium with other speakers scheduled for Friday, Nov. 8. The event kicks off FHU’s Homecoming celebration.

    Mark Alan Springer, BMI Country Songwriter of the Year in 1998, will present “Behind the Hits” Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at 7:30pm in Freed-Hardeman University’s Ayers Auditorium. Proceeds will benefit the Lady Lion basketball program.

  • Grand Re-Opening of Old Main Set for Nov. 8

    The public is invited to attend the Grand Re-opening of Freed-Hardeman University’s Old Main Friday, Nov. 8, at 2:00pm on the front lawn of the building located at 158 East Main in Henderson. The event coincides with Homecoming and Founders’ Day and is a part of the observation of FHU’s 150th year.

  • FHU Professors Present Session at Counselors’ Conference

    Two Freed-Hardeman University professors spoke at the American Association of Christian Counselors’ World Conference in Nashville Oct. 9-12. Dr. Mike Cravens and Dr. James Dalton led a session entitled “Complying with Ethical and Legal Standards in Mental Health Documentation.”
