Henderson, Tennessee - Mar 24, 2020

Study.com has ranked Freed-Hardeman University in the top five online schools in Tennessee. This ranking emphasizes accessibility, affordability and quality of education, which they consider the most important attributes in compiling their list. The ranking process also considers tuition and graduation rates, services available, programs and student statistics.

FHU’s online programs range from the associate to graduate level in business, education, counseling and theology. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, “so students can be certain they are getting an exceptional education,” Study.com said.

Freed-Hardeman offers an online Associate of Arts degree which qualified students may begin while still in high school. The 60-hour program satisfies the general education requirements for most bachelor’s degrees. In addition to dual-enrolled high school students, non-traditional students may also find it a useful way to begin their college career.

The Graduate School of Theology offers all of its courses online via web-conferencing as well as to students in the classroom. Sessions are broadcast and recorded for subsequent viewing. Students interact via Canvas Learning System.

The online Master of Business Administration is designed for focused, accelerated degree completion. Courses are offered in four and eight-week blocks and can be completed in as little as one year.

The Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and the Doctor of Behavioral Health degrees are offered in a combination of web-conference and onsite classes. The master’s degree is offered in a combination of online, web-conference and onsite classes, while the Doctor of Behavioral Health is offered via online and web-conference classes.

The graduate education department offers a variety of online programs for students. These range from initial teaching licensure to a doctoral degree. Additional information regarding these programs is available at fhu.edu/academics/graduate.
