Work of FHU Art Professor on Display at Atlanta Exhibit

Henderson, Tennessee - Nov 13, 2017

The work of a Freed-Hardeman University art professor is currently being shown at an Atlanta printmaking exhibit. Laquita Thomson’s “Trumpet Vine,” a reduction linocut, is on display at the Abernathy Arts Center. The show, “Pressing Matters VIII,” opened Nov. 4 and will hang until Dec. 8.

Thomson’s linocut is being shown along with the work of 27 other printmakers, primarily from Georgia. The show is co-sponsored by the Atlanta Printmakers Studio and the arts center.

With degrees in painting and printmaking, Thomson teaches art and art history courses at Freed-Hardeman.
