The 80th Annual Bible Lectureship at Freed-Hardeman University, Feb. 7-11, 2016, addressed the theme, “In My Place: The Servant Savior in Mark.” Under the leadership of Dr. Doug Burleson, lectureship director, late-night lectures were designed for college students, Kids’ Lectureship held classes for preschool through fifth grade, and Teen Lectureship attracted participants in grades 6-12. In addition to the youth and family ministers’ workshop, the Lectureship included a workshop for Bible class teachers and one focused on serving the Hispanic population. This year’s event was dedicated to Cecil May, a well-known Bible scholar and minister. He was honored at the Annual Appreciation Dinner.
