Tolling of the Bell

Campus Life // June 22, 2016

Dr. Clyde Woods, retired Bible professor, issued a challenge to students Aug. 19, 2015, at the annual Tolling of the Bell ceremony. He urged students to honor their parents, their Freed-Hardeman family and their own families. Woods and his wife, Ann, also a retired teacher, and freshman Matthew Johnson were the “masters of the bell.” They rang the bell a total of 14 times, once for each decade the university has been in existence.
